What Does Each Noble Scent Smell Like? (Scent Guide)

Noble beard oil and butter come in a range of signature scents plus a fragrance-free option. They all use the same skin-first formula, so they condition and soften exactly the same. The only difference is how they smell. Here's what each one smells like. The exact lineup shifts a little between the oil and butter ranges and with seasonal releases, so check the product page for what's in stock. Every year we try and bring out 3-4 limited options as well. We also have VIP only editions that drop randomly whenever it tickles our fancy. Be sure to sign up. Or don't. It's your life.

Kharisma: saffron and ambergris

Warm saffron and smooth jasmine settle into ambergris and cedarwood. It reads like a refined, cologne-style scent, confident and put-together without being loud. A good pick if you like fragrances that feel a little dressed up.

Crimson: dark cherry and tobacco

Dark cherry opens rich and smooth, then deep tobacco and smoky woods (cypriol and devilwood) take over. Bold and a touch sweet, this is one of the most distinctive scents in the lineup. For guys who want a fragrance people notice and ask about.

Rebellion: blue spruce and amber smoke

Cool blue spruce and amber smoke open clean and bold before settling into sandalwood and patchouli. Rugged and outdoorsy with a smoky edge. The closest thing to a fresh-cut-forest scent in the range.

Meridia: vanilla orchid and palo santo

Smooth vanilla orchid and almond open warm and inviting, then settle into palo santo and atlas cedarwood. One of the most comforting, easygoing scents, and an easy everyday wear if you like warm, softly sweet fragrances. You can find it across the beard oil and beard butter ranges.

Saintwood: guaiacwood and frankincense

Smoky guaiacwood and soft musk open grounded, then resinous frankincense and clean cedarwood come through. Deep, calm, and quietly powerful. A good pick if you like incense and temple-style woody scents.

Solvarae: leather, oud, and black pepper

Rich leather and exotic oud with black pepper and cardamom. This is the dressiest, most intense scent in the range, dark and a little spicy. If you gravitate to leather-and-oud colognes, this one's for you.

Naked: fragrance-free

Same skin-first formula, zero added fragrance. Best if you have sensitive skin, work somewhere scent-free, or want to layer your own cologne without a clash.

What about seasonal scents?

Noble also releases seasonal scents at certain times of year, like Jack Frost, a winter blend of rosemary, hickory smoke, suede, and clove. These come and go, so grab one while it's around if the profile sounds like you.

How strong are the scents?

All of them are made to be noticeable up close without filling a room. Beard oil and butter sit right under your nose, so a little goes a long way. If you want more staying power, layer the matching butter and oil in the same scent.
